Nothing to post about!

Dang since RB Shlittentag, I've had nothing to really talk about except the craziest damn college parties we've done with the MXT so far!!! hahaha. Rolled the MXT down to Champaign IL this past weekend to hook the kids up during their Unofficial parties. Man they were off the chain. First day the coppers just weren't having us at all! Two spots shut down at both! hahaha.

The next day we got over to EIU and damn son do those kids know how to party! So nutz! First party was great, then they ran out of drink and some dumbass kids hucked an egg at a cop car! hahaha, that ended that party pretty damn quick. After that we rolled out to a frat hose. It was pretty cool not as busy but the kids were way rowdier. Just got done cleaning the rig from that party. There was mud on the TV screens! Damn you EIU kids get out of hand! hahaha. Anyway that wrapped up a rad weekend. This weekend I head to a Buttercup at Devil's Head Resort then roll out to NYC for the Red Bull Arena grand opening. Planning on taking the camera with me out there. Maybe catch some epic photos of who knows what! hahaha

Red Bull Winch Sessions!

Dang! Its been quite the week! We finally got the rig back from the shop with a brand new motor in it! Thanks to Boyer Trucks for taking damn good care of me and makin' sure the problems with the truck got dealt with properly this time! So we should be set and runnin' for a while now!

Alex Horner the video guy for Red Bull Winch Sessions bailed on us for the beginning of the week. So I head out to the Miller Compound for a fun session with Alex Miller, Josh Tranby, and Shane. After quick session we start talking about getting the spot ready for the shoot a couple days away. So many ideas was flowing that I thought a fight was gonna break out! hahaha Thursday rolled around and we headed out to get a shot at Tilsner Gap with Josh...that didn't so hot, he locked on then fell damn near 15' to flat on his heels. From talking to Josh today he still hasn't been able to walk normal yet! He bruised those suckers up good trying to get the shot! We'll be back to claim that sucker this spring yet! After that shoot we headed straight to the Miller's Compound to get crankin' on the BIG multi feature. Shawn Rowland who has a local back yard set up as well hooked up us up with some rad pre-made features to sprinkle about the set up, so Thanks Shawn! Super appreciate the use of your stuff! We cracked off a few shots, George took a rib shot on the wall we had set up. So two down in a day. Peeps are getting tired!

Headed in with Horner and we cracked out the interview crapola. These guys are hilarious should make for some funny stuff in the edit. Friday I loaded up and rolled home to Chicago.

Saturday got up bright and early to run up to Red Bull Schlittentag in Alpine Valley WI. So sick. Its like Red Bull Flugtag for snow. So much fun! The best guys were the cats that were skiers, they tossed big time! Helmet cam coming soon! hahaha

Anyway don't expect any posts really this week. Headed to meetings...laaaame! hahahaha

van rallyin' and Life is Good 2!

Whoa! What a weekend it was! Started Saturday off bright and early down at Red Bull Open ice, it was pretty ill. A team from Minnesota rep'd well and took the top spot over all the other teams, I spent the day helpin' set up the after party spot with the local crew...we had to carry a couple hundred pound DJ stand up a couple flights of stairs because it didn't fit in the damn elevator. Note to builders: Next time measure some shit out and stick some wheels on it so its easier to move, damn!. Spent Saturday evening runnin' the drunk bus for the hockey players. So rad. If they'd never been scared in a shuttle bus they sure as hell have been now! hahaha. I put my cat like reflexes to work along with my ability to hammer on the gas harded then a nascar driver to get the athletes back and forth as fast as possible cuz we all now time is money! hahaha. A couple close calls with some buses, a ped or tw, ando we had ourselves one hell of a good time! New York team was a riot mooning every car we were next too! To much that crew was, I even got a 4:30am wake up call from them. Thanks guys! (Buck flippin' the middle finger, hahahaha)

Sunday morning started bright and early at 6:30am, rallied some Red Bull up to Pugfest a XC mountain bike race run on a track groomed to a snowy perfection by Dirtwirx the trail crew at Hillside Park, Elk River, MN. Wanna see some crazy athletes, that's the place to go! Such a cool event! From there I headed to the Miller's complex. They have transformed their yard into a one of a kind winch playground. After doing a single test run on all the features with the Red Bull winch we decided everything was good to go for the contest. We headed inside to get some grub! Thanks to George for wippin' up some great scrambled eggs and toast, that was clutch after almost no sleep! We headed back outside got the course all dialed in and groomed up and got to winchin'. Illest day I've spent on the winch in a long time. Riders were slayiin' the course! Riders with a wake background definitely had an advantage. A cat named JD was doin' the raddest tantrums over the big gapper, Josh Tranby was slayin' the mulit feature. Check the video that WCCO put on the TV.

Winch sessions on the roll!

So stoked! The last two days we have been killin' it with our winch session shoots. Sunday we built up a hit, showed up yesterday after dark to get the prime shooting conditions we were looking for and it was a grand slam!Riders were sending their tricks, Alex Horner was on hand documenting the madness, and Ryan Taylor was there gettin' the shot! Jordan, Tranby, and Alex M straight killed it all night long, takin' pull after pull so the protographers could get the shot. Then some of the local ST Paul PD showed up and cheered us on for an hour or so then did a Superbad style exit blowin' some mad donuts all the way out of the parking lot! hahaha So sick! Once we wrapped there we rallied across town to another shoot we had lined up with Skier Steve and Willie. These guys had a big 'ol step down gap deal set up over the top of this concrete wall, 100% blind take off to a quick sniper tranny. So it was pretty rad to see those guys sendin'. they know we are trying to get some shit done so they were running back up and hittin' over and over until about 3am. So sick to see these guys gettin' it done. They were takin' some hard hits and getting right back up to do it again! This afternoon we hooked back up with Tranby and Jordan to kill another spot, got some dope shots in and tomorrow we are hittin' it super early to get some shots with Tranby on this super huge gap...Should be insanely epic, I'll have photos of the hit tomorrow as we wrapped up the night building and getting everything ready to go for tomorrow mornings shoot!

Keep 'r pinned!

More Winchin' and BAT down!

Dang what a hectic couple days! Back in the shop with the rig and they had it stripped down to the block! They are going through testing it part by part and can't seem to find the issues. Should know more by the end of the day tomorrow! So we went and grabbed the winch off the rig and went out today to do some damage. Started out as a beautiful blue bird day and quickly turned into a snowy crappy day. So we built up this hit, did a couple run ins and decided to come back and a later date. So to be continued. This week we'll be out everynight winchin' so hopefully I'll have some more pics for ya all to peep. The global finals for Red Bull Open Ice are this weekend at Lake Calhoun, I'll be out there for the duration stop by and say what up!

Winchin'!

What up folks!

Been a crazy week! After Open Ice went down we started lockin' in winch stuff for Red Bull Winch Sessions. Was going great till we had a nasty spill with one of the guys we've been working with George Miller, he slays it up here along with his bro Alex Miller who brought us to this spot. So dope. Took yesterday off to chill with family, now I'm up in Roger MN gettin' the rig looked at something is messed up with the heat again.... Next time I'll have some photos of a dope spot we are lining up to winch in the next couple days!

I'm chillin' in MN at the Red Bull warehouse in Minnesota. Stoked! Got out to Open Ice on Saturday evening/night. Pretty stoked! dang cool set up. Sunday we were gearing up to do some winch action then notice that the winch didn't have a spark plug in it! HA! That would explain why they couldn't get it to start...hahahah. Its now snowing pretty damn good. Hopefully get a good amount cuz we need to stack some footy! Stoked for the week!

New TVs and back on the road! Stoked!

What up guys!

Been a minute since I posted last! We had a weee bit of a short in the rig, and learned what shore power really is! hahaha...spent the last couple days at Agile Vehicle Modifications shop in Elkhart IN gettin' the rig looked over after a short at Red Bull Fight with Flight knocked out one of my TVs. We thought we had it sorted out, plugged in to check and BAM there goes three TVs...dang it was nutz! I have never seen flames and sparks come out of a TV before...pretty damn cool. hahaha Anyway the guys at Agile straight kill it and got me hooked up with new screens (bigger ones too!) and back on the road in no time. They cleared their schedule and made room to get my rig fixed and back on the road! Those guys have it down! Thanks guys!!!!!!!

The brains of the beast, believe it or not, I know what each one of those cables does now! hahaha

Now I'm back on the road, drove 300 and some miles today up to my parents! They had a freshly cooked meal ready for me, so awesome! I haven't had 'real' food in weeks and they topped it off with a ice cream cake! Thanks mom and dad you guys rock! This coming week should be killer, start if off tomorrow with Red Bull Open Ice in Van Cleve park which I think is at the UofM?! Come down say what up! Then the rest of the week we'll be winchin' like mad trying to get some footy in for Winch Sessions!

See ya out there!

What a weekend!

What up guys!

Been a couple days since I posted. Haven't had the best internet on the road! I spent the last couple days down in Indy for Red Bull Fight with Flight! Its a flatland bmx contest that brought in competitors from around the world! So crazy! We had the MXT parked between the practice area and the competition area, DJ Metro was cuttin the tuenage for us, the crowd was stoked, the riders were killin' it! Such a rad vibe goin' on! The best way i can describe flatland for people that haven't seen it is breakdancing with a bike. Pretty damn cool if i do say so myself. Some of the local Red Bull peeps surprsed me with an awesome B-day cake so gotta give Melissa, Kristen, and Amanda a quick shout out! Still eatin' that cake! MMMMMMM frosting! hahaha

Anyway here are a couple pics.

Craziest thing I saw this trip: Was a truck haulin' a MRAP(Google it) run over the front of a little car that cut it so close. HA! Give trucks space, hope everyone was alright in the little car. Sure looked burley!

Aight be postin' again from Minnesota where I'm headed for Red Bull Open Ice! A pond hockey tourney we do! www.redbullopenice.com

Back on the road!

What up guys? Haven't posted anything in a couple days b/c I've been getting the truck all dialed back in! Turns out there was a crack in the radiator! So Wednesday I flew in late to Saginaw MI grabbed the rig and hightailed it back to Chicago. Thursday I woke up and rallied to Indy for Red Bull Fight with Flight. A international flatland BMX contest. I'll have video and maybe even some photos tomorrow. Last night they had a warm up jam session at the local Red Bull warehouse. So sick...Riders from all over the States, Japan, Czech Rep., France and the UK(I think) Today is another jam session at the actual venue, I'll crack out the camera gear and get some shots to show!

Stoke on!

Travel Hell!!!!!!

We've all had our bad travel days...mine just exceeds all of those in to the obscene! The below was written to my Ipod Touch as I experience absolute hell in the past 72 hours, read, laugh, and share.

Yesterday written at the Detroit Airport after missing a flight by seconds:
Today is a looong day of travel. First waking up an hour late, and then followed by driving hell bent through freezing rain to the MSP. Luckily for me I breezed through security with no problems at all, (although it still amazes me to this day how some people still walk through all the security with metal shit in their pockets and act surprised when the alarm goes off) and made it to my gate and to the planes no problem at all...that's about as smooth as the trip gets! Once on the plane we are delayed an hour and a half as they try to de-ice the plane for take off. Still doin' good I managed to fall asleep for that crap. Here's where the shit starts to happen. The fattest guy on the flight decides to move seats and sits right in front of me which was an empty row. He had three chairs to pick from none of which would have bothered me or anyone else and he picks the one right in front of me! This mother f----r sits right down and kicks the seat back as far as it'll go so quick I didn't have time to move my knees, he absolutely crushed them! I let out a yelp, followed by a 'are you f-----g serious?'. The flight attendant tells me they won't have language like that on the air plane. I say what the hell, do they allow people to move seats midflight? No answer. The guy gives me a dirty look and I look at him and say, ' hey if you lost 50 pds you'd fit back in your regular seat'. By this point people are listening to us bicker, and laughing. But whatever the guy still got to stay there and everyone else got a good laugh out of the deal. But dang son, take your fat ass on a bus next time!

Travel day from hell continues!

Detroit must have one of the most spread out airports in the country! Because of the freezing rain the flight was already behind, now I am sprinting from one end of the airport to the other to try to catch my plane, which I miss by literally seconds! Uuuuuuuh, stuck in Detroit's craps ass airport for three extra hours only to land in Saginaw(shithole, and ranked by the FBI as the most violent city in America!) with my bags missing. Apparently they still made the flight while I stayed in Detroit for three more hours. 30 minutes later they find my bags and I'm on my way. Super stoked to leave the airports behind me and get to the truck. Repack my bags to fit the stuff I didn't take to Levi's for the shoot. Get the trash sorted. Jump up front stick the keys in and give 'em a turn....nothin'...Look at the gauges...no juice. Fuk me. We have out generators tied to the batts, so I fire up the generator to try and get some juice back in the batteries, grab my laptop and head back into the airport to get some internet and call out fleet services to get a tow. 30 minutes pass, first tow truck shows up...I head back out to the rig. We give it another try. BAM!!!! She starts up on the first turn! So stoked, let it charge for another 30 minutes, Alright we are good to go finally!!!! Pop 'r in drive and head out the gate. BAM! A mile down the road the warning light panel lights up with everything! Pull over and shut 'r down immediately...another call to Fleet Services and a wrecker is on the way. 40-60 minutes later and the wrecker is there...its now 2:30am. We get the rig chained up and ready to tow. It gets dropped at Diesel Trucks in Saginaw. The tow driver stops me at a hotel that I later find they call the Crack Head Hotel. This sketchy little hotel in downtown Saginasty...I didn't take pictures but it was 40 bucks a night if that can help give an idea of quality. The rooms were very basic and over crowed with weird furniture, no closet doors, no coffee maker, one chair, a bed, and an entertainment center to hold a crappy tv that gets two channels, and no heat. On the desk sits a bright orange paper with nothing but warnings....lock your doors, lock your windows, don't go outside after dark, don't answer your door, no guests allowed, no kids w/o a guardian, no stereos, no music, no parties. It is now 3am, I pull the sheets back and try to get some sleep.

7am can't come soon enough. I grab my bag and head to the lobby to call a cab. Oh that's right nothing can be easy on this trip. Saginaw has one taxi company, gonna be an hour and a half wait...I give Diesel Trucks a call...they don't even know the hotel I'm at! Luckyily within 30 minutes they have truck come pick me up and we head to the shop. Cool we are at a rad shop, these guys are dialed and stoked to start workin' on the MXT!

I hand 'em the keys help them pull it into the shop. Head to the driver lounge and start waiting...it is now 9am... 4:30 rolls around and they tell me they are just wrappin' up the rig. Belt came off the water pump...I'm like uhoh that's not good! The guy says I should be good to go. I call to the event I'm headed to and give him the green light! Sickness FINALLY on the road! So stoked! Jump up in the rig, turn the key...nothing. Damn I just can't catch a brake at this point! We bring the jump 'r out and get it runnin. I was like damn that's quite a big smokier they usual. The mechanic looks at me and says it'll clear up in a minute. So he say get after it! I headed to down the road maybe two blocks, we are laying a massive smoke screen! We are burning coolant....no good. I pull over, toss on the hazards and flip a bitch as fast I can. Back to the shop and the mechanic is like this isn't good. its is now 5;30. I get on the phone and call the event again and say...sorry man we are a no go this weekend. That didn't go over so well. The shop closes at 5:00pm, but two of the guys and the owner stick around to get me towed to a International dealer where can really dig into the problem. At this point it doesn't really matter none of the options are good ones. 7:00 pm rolls around and a new wrecker is there to two me the 5 miles to the other shop. The guy from Diesel Trucks drops me off in a WAY safer neighborhood and I get a hotel for the night. I set about trying to get a flight out of this shit hole. Luckily there is a flight the next morning at 8:49! I kick back for a minute then head out and grab some food...first food I've had in 28 hrs our something. Some good mexican food was in order and that's what I got! Hell yes!
Wake up in the morning head to the airport. Raddest taxi driver I've had in a while. Thanks for the ride Moe! Get through security only to have my flight delayed an hour. I just can't seem to catch a break! hahaha. But that's the end of my epic tale of hell from the road. I don't think it can ever get much worse then that! So here I sit in Chicago, with no truck...I guess we'll find out Monday what the real problem is!

On the Road again!

Just went through security at MSP, gettin' ready to start the long trip back to the rig after a rad shoot with Levi! Stoked to have shot with him again this year, that makes three xgames in a row I've had the privilege of shooting with him! He always seems to kill it so I can't wait to watch again this year! What a week its been though, eh? Started out in MI with olympians then ended it hanging out with a insane snowmobiler and his crew! All masters of their own winter sports! Wish 'em all the best of luck in the coming month!

Anyway I'm headed to Soaring Eagle Casino tonight to support one of the last Mighty Midwest Snowboard Tour stops. I guess the crew has been havin' a rough time gettin' spots dialed...apparently MI isn't a big fan of winches and snowboarders! hahaha.

More pics next time!

trucks, planes, and snow mobiles!

Titling sure is fun! Or maybe its the two hours of sleep I've got in the last two days! Schedule went nutz yesterday! I stayed an extra day in Otsego b/c the coaches were asking for me to stay! I'm cool doin' that, so rad! ALL the teams were out in force yesterday just absolutely tossin' it! The half pipe comp this year should be one to remember!!!! They closed early for some reason, nobody seems to know why. Anyway they ended up towing the rig out cuz I buried it up to the rails tryin to drive out, hahaha! Once again the hill crew killed it for me!

After some much needed chow I went and watched the Think Thank crew get some shots behind the cabin. Some rad stuff went down for sure, look for some video and photos poppin' up soon some where, hahaha. Hit the road at about midnight to catch a plane to Minnesota to do some shooting with Levi Lavallee as he prepares for X-games. i don't want to talk about what he was doin' but damn! It was total sickness! Look for some video to drop soon of that stuff! The guy never ceases to impress me! Super chill, and always lookin' for the next thing to do on the fridge he rides through the air! Everyone wish him luck at X!!!!!

Here are some clips I've been promising!

If this doesn't make you puke I don't know what will!

Havin' fun with our new Go Pro Hero HD helmet cams! Sickness! (literally) hahahaha. These cameras are sick little units! We've been testin' the heck out of them. They do great during the day, under water, and seem to survive all kinds of impacts! Can't wait to start usin' them for real!

Sunshine and live tuneage!

What up guys!

Killer day today! Got out to the rig early enough to watch the sun rise over the hlll and bathe the hill in the most insanely beautiful light! Started cranking out rig to jam some tunes for the Japanese team who was out tossin' it shortly after 9am. Hooked 'em with some Red Bull and chilled for a minute at the base with the riders and coach and took in the beautiful morning while we slammed our morning bulls! Got the beats goin', riders were uber stoked on it.

My man Glen from New Zealand showed up again, and we got him totally wired to jam out. He's been rockin' guitars for 20 years! He straight killed it! First live show out of the rig! Took us like an hour to get everything all linked together in the rig, we had cables and crap runnin' all over because I was missin' a couple adaptors I needed to plug his guitar in. By then the Japenese, Aussies, and New Zealanders were all throwin' down mad steeze in the pipe and a crowd of a hundred or so had gathered to watch and meet the future olympians. Such a cool vibee floatin' around the hill.

Mess of cables!

Ended the day pumpin' tunes for a USASA Half Pipe contest who's PA system crapped out minutes before their contest, they were stoked to say the least!

I got some video of the airbag but forgot my camera in the room. So it'll have to wait till tomorrow. I was going to shut down the Rig for the weekend and take a day off but one of the coaches from Japan was all bummin' his guys wouldn't have tunes for training, so I'm gonna a jam out one more day, I got hooked up with some fresh beats to blast!

A day of stokage!

What up?!

Today was total sickness! Got up and at 'em early, chowed some breakfast with the crew who were super pumped to get the day rollin' and that's when the fun started. Got the rig buried up to the frame tryin' to get through a snow mound to park on the mountain. two broken tow straps, one snowmobile, and a snowcat later we had the rig parked at the base of the half pipe. Special thanks to Kenny who straight runs this place like a boss. He has more energy and know how then any one I know! Jumped right in and got me unstuck and my tracks groomed smooth for the oncoming riders that hit the slopes seconds after we were parked!

After The Rat snapped the obligatory claim pics of the rig we turned it out and started banging tunes for the oncoming Mighty Midwest Tour campers, and the future olympians as they shredded the park! My man Glen from New Zealand showed up with a guitar and started throwin' down for the crowd that was rallied around the rig to watch the half pipe riders and take in his mad licks. Nate from Australia was killin' it, crazy boost from that guy! Half way through the day Glen and the New Zealand team grabbed me for some lunch. Super cool peeps, so stoked to meet them! We were gonna do a night session but I guess they closed the pipe for some maintenance! Tomorrow is supposed to be another beautiful day, all the teams are supposed to be out tossin'! Can't wait!

Oh yeah and no air bag stuff b/c they didn't have it runnin' today! Hopefully tomorrow they fill 'er up and let 'em send it for the kids!

Bowls, Coppers, and more!!!!

Last night we found out this place has a portable bowl set up in a conference room. Pretty fun little spot to film with the guys. So we rallied out the lights and cameras and shot some cool video of the guys ridin' the mini bowl. LIttle highlight clip coming soon!

Dang! Today was frustrating! Got up early, got breakfast in the crew, got some hot laps in at the park to warm up while we rounded up the winch and video gear. Headed to Greylings MI...Found this dope abandoned hotel that had a back patio that was a total pile of crap. We started to set up two hits at once, the guys started riding while we started on the second gap that would have been epicly awesome. A crazy hip/tranfer through these gnarly pine trees...covered in perfect white snow, dang it was sooo cool. Unfortunately some one called the coppers on us. We got the boot! The officer was pretty nice about it. But once we were all packed up they pulled my license and driver certs...Fortunately for me the cop didn't give me any tickets but he wasn't to stoked on us, that's for sure! Ended the day gettin' peeps stoked for a little rail jam the resort throws every Friday night. So that was pretty rad. MXT parked right at the top of the course overlooking the valley, so awesome!

Pic from the office today, at the rail jam! yeehaaaa

Coppers hatin' on the rig!

What up all?!

Chillin' with the Rat, protagrapher to the Mighty Midwest Snowboard Tour. GIvin' ya an update from the hill. Its pissin' rain out right now so we decided to cancel the shoot tonight. The ski resort finally caught wind that the MXT was parked just feet from their resort, I'm now parked at the front entrance, hahaha (thanks guys!) They also heard we were havin' trouble with our winch and for a couple Red Bulls they tore that sucker a part and put it all back together again in tip top shape! Super stoked! Energized one of the New Zealand Half Pipe riders shortly after they parked me right up front! They are uber stoked too, every one here is rad. As I watch out from where I'm writing this they are putting in a Acrobag (AKA air bag) If you don't know what that is, its an on mountain bladder filled with air to jump in and try new steeze tricks most likely double corks(which one of the Aussies was killin' all dang long) so its like a foam pit only not like a foam pit, I'll get a picture tomorrow! Come check this place out!

Otsego Club!

Drove 370 some odd miles up to Northern Michigan today to support another Mighty Midwest Snowboard Tour stop at Otsego Club. Seems like a pretty rad place, the cabin they hooked us up with is legit! Alex Horner the guy filmin' for us on the Red Bull Winch Sessions project and a couple of the riders for the tour got in before I did. Gonna be a fun week for sure! Look for some photos and video in the coming days! Side note this place is an official Olympic Training Center!
